More information:

Master P took his music to a new level of quality on Ice Cream Man, which is his first to feature the production stable known as Beats by the Pound (i.e., KLC, Mo B. Dick, DJ Daryl, Carlos Stephens, Ken Franklin, Craig B). Themes of drugs, violence, and ghetto life are prevalent and well exploited. Ice Cream Man was Master P's best-selling album to date, and it created a significant buzz in the hardcore rap underground, setting the stage for his chart-topping follow-up, Ghetto D (1997). ~ Jason Birchmeier, All Music Guide

Master P - Ghetto D - 1997 - MP3 DOWNLOAD

Released in September, 1997. Front cover reads, "The Man That Brought You Down South Hustlers, West Coast Bad Boyz and I'm Bout It Movie." This is Master P's sixth studio album.

Originally slated to be titled as Ghetto Dope, the name was shortened to the current title before the release due to the drug reference in the aforementioned title. The album would be one of Master P's biggest albums.

The original album cover, which depicted a crack addict sitting on a curb and smoking from a glass pipe, was recalled from store shelves. It was promptly replaced by the collage style cover.

Chart performance

The album became the biggest-selling of Master P's career, peaking at #1 on the Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts with first-week sales of 260,000 copies.[6] It was mainly on the strength of the three singles released; "I Miss My Homies" (US #11), "Make 'Em Say Uhh!" (US #7), and "Burbons and Lacs" (US #3) all became hit singles in the years 1997 and 1998. "Gangstas Need Love" samples Diana Ross's hit single "Missing You", while "I Miss My Homies" samples The O'Jays' song "Brandy" from the albumSo Full of Love. In 2008 "Make 'Em Say Uhh!" it ranked #26 on VH1's 100 Greatest Songs of Hip Hop. It ranked at #36 on Blender's list of the "50 Worst Songs Ever"[7] In 2008, it ranked #94 on VH1's 100 Greatest Songs of Hip Hop. "Here We Go", featuring Fiendand Mystikal, was a b-side, released on the "I Miss My Homies" single. The album was certified 3x Platinum on August 4, 2006, with 3,185,221 copies sold, according to SoundScan.[8]

    Mobb Deep - The Infamous (1995) (320 MP3)

The Infamous is the second studio album by the American hip hop duo Mobb Deep. It was released on April 25, 1995, by Loud Records. The album features guest appearances from NasWu-Tang Clan members Raekwon and Ghostface KillahA Tribe Called Quest member Q-Tip, and close Mobb Deep affiliate Big Noyd. Embedded with hyper-visual lyricism, dark soundscapes, gritty narratives, and hard beats, it marked Mobb Deep's transition from a relatively unknown rap duo to an influential and commercially successful one.

Since its initial release, The Infamous has earned additional critical praise and has been widely regarded as a cornerstone album of New York hardcore rap.[1] Allmusic's Steve Huey gave it a five star rating, and commented "The Infamous is Mobb Deep's masterpiece, a relentlessly bleak song cycle that's been hailed by hardcore rap fans as one of the most realistic gangsta albums ever recorded [...] it has all the foreboding atmosphere and thematic sweep of an epic crime drama. That's partly because of the cinematic vision behind the duo's detailed narratives, but it's also a tribute to how well the raw, grimy production evokes the world that Mobb Deep is depicting."
